Beaded Jewelry
This class is for the serious beginning or
ongoing student who has at least some
experience with beading. Great opportunity
to increase knowledge and skills by learning
stringing and finishing techniques, design
layouts, color, craftsmanship, and tool usage
to make earrings, charms and necklaces.
Feel free to bring old jewelry, beads, buttons,
etc. with you to class. Fresh designs
will always develop from combining old with
new. Materials list provided at first class.

Felting
Discover the fabulous world of felting. We
will make three unique projects during
this six-week session which will include
a flower pin, a mixed fiber scarf, and a
small clutch bag. Supply fee for all three
projects is $15, payable at the first class.

Knitting
Learn the basics of knitting or brush up
on your rusty skills. Working at your own
pace, you will learn how to cast on, knit,
purl, and cast off. Bring a pair of knitting
needles (size 8 is a good beginner size)
and one skein of 4-ply worsted-weight yarn

Mixed Media Painting Series
Bring 5x7 canvas the first week with no
basecoat. Sail Along Silvery Moon is painted
in oils utilizing an old world technique of rubout
painting. Second week bring a 5x7 canvas
base coated with white paint. A singleblossom
Zinnia in a color of your choice will
be created with a surprise media. Must also
bring a large hole, hand held small pencil
sharpener (not electric). For the third week,
The Chicken-In-The-Egg will be created
using the technique of pencil-over-acrylic
for a more vivid effect and a user-friendly
surface. Bring your pencil sharpener from
last week plus a 5x7 canvas base coated in
light tan acrylic. All brushes and supplies will
be provided with a $5 materials fee, payable

Adult Arts & Crafts
Beginning Oil Painting
Designed for the absolute beginner! Many
techniques will be taught in this workshop to
include brush control, stroke work, blending,
and glazing while completing a still life depiction
of a country basket filled with deep green
leaves, apples, daisies, and strawberries. All
brushes and supplies will be provided with a
$35 materials fee, payable at the first class.
No previous painting experience needed.

Oil Painting: Ahoy Matey!
Two companion pieces will be completed
in this class. All painting will be done simultaneously
on both projects. A seaside
background will be painted as a backdrop to
the Sea Captains who are the main subject.
By using oil paint, shape and dimension is
given to the seascape and a realistic face
to our weathered captains. Students must
bring two 9x12 canvases base-coated in a
medium blue gray and their usual painting
supplies. $35 materials fee, payable the first

Ongoing Studio in Colored Pencil
With over 40 years of working with pencils,
let Mary help you learn what she has experienced.
If you want to relax and have fun
drawing with the simplest tool of all...come
join our on-going studio “fun with pencils.”
We will do graphite, colored and water color
pencil techniques, plus mixed media. We
have lots of fun and hope you’ll consider
using your un-leashed talents and join us.
Be sure to bring some photos you would
like to draw. Beginner to advanced students
