CHS Mothers’ Club Celebrates with the ‘Oscars’ March 31<br />

Lights...Camera...Action...will come<br />

to fruition Bears style on Saturday, March<br />

31, 2007, at 6 p.m., for the Annual CHS<br />

Mothers’ Club Auction.<br />

Alumni, parents and friends attending<br />

this year’s Auction will enjoy an evening<br />

themed “Bears in Hollywood.” Experience<br />

an atmosphere of celebration Hollywood<br />

style with decorations replicating the vintagestyle<br />

Oscars under the creative direction of<br />

Liz Carlos and her committee.<br />

A presentation of gourmet foods and<br />

sweets will be provided by Leger’s Catering<br />

throughout the evening and will be worthy<br />

of any Oscar after-party.<br />

Two of the evening’s highlights are the<br />

Silent and Live Auctions. The Silent Auction<br />

will begin at 6 p.m. with over 400 items in<br />

all price ranges.<br />

“Beautiful jewelry, collectible art,<br />

professional services, trips and weekend<br />

getaways have been donated to the CHS<br />

Mothers’ Club for this event,” commented<br />

Beverly Hymel, Auction chairperson. “This<br />

should be an award-winning evening,” added<br />

Hymel.<br />

limited number of tickets will be sold for $25<br />

each. Ticket holders will be served a glass<br />

of champagne during the evening, with one<br />

of the glasses containing 14K White Gold<br />

Diamond Drop Earrings, donated by Ken<br />

Fellins Fine Jewelers.<br />

Another highlight of the evening is the<br />

drawing for the 2007 Toyota Camry from<br />

Price LeBlanc. The drawing will be held<br />

following the Live Auction. Raffle tickets will<br />

be available for purchase during the evening<br />

or in advance by calling Regina Callihan, car<br />

raffle committee chair, at (225) 275-0730.<br />
