'the ml')nih fApril brought elections of AS officers. Candidates campaigned<br />
vigorously for various offices. Voting results made Jerry Harmon the victor in the<br />
l;'ac~for ASl>ociatedStudents president for the coming year. Denny Moore, Linda<br />
'tbornpson~and Jim Ashcraft were elected to serve with him as vice president,<br />
liecretary~and commissioner of finance respectively.<br />
Th~ men of Sigma Chi fraternity sponsored<br />
their annual camEus event known as D~r~b;I'_;"""' __<br />
~The men wore black derbies<br />
symbolizing the event during the week prior<br />
to the event. Teams from each sorority<br />
and women's dorm competed for honors in<br />
contests such as a tricycle race flour frolic<br />
can-~an re.lay, and a tug-a-war.' Chi Omega'<br />
s~ronty skillfully captured this year's winmng<br />
trophy and Carol Lane, Kappa Alpha<br />
Theta, was selected as Miss Derby Day.<br />
