about a lecturer of physics he says<br />

lacked character. Every day he came ten or fifteen<br />
minutes later than the hour assigned and not content<br />
with the loss of ten minutes in each hour, he<br />
turned the hands of the clock ten or fifteen minutes<br />
forward in order to finish the class soon !<br />

Behold how an educated Turk refutes the charges<br />
levelled against the Turkish character. Writes Mr.<br />
Khalil Halid Bey thus :<br />
