SWIM CLUB<br />
2012/2013 Registrations NOW OPEN<br />
We are up to 50 registrations! Don’t forget, on-line registrations close on Friday 14 th<br />
September 2012. All members must complete a new registration form for the<br />
season. After such a successful season last year, we are capping the numbers to 130<br />
families, so please make sure you sign up now.<br />
Everything is online this year and it is a two part process. First you will need to log onto flexischools<br />
and pay $103 for your family membership. Once you have paid, you then need to log onto the <strong>Ascot</strong><br />
<strong>State</strong> <strong>School</strong> website www.ascotss.eq.edu.au and go to the P&C tab where there is now a Swim Club<br />
Registration button on the left so you can register your child(ren) for Swim Club.<br />
This will mean by the 15 th of September, the committee can organise the registration bags, assign<br />
swimmer numbers and have the newly renovated Swim Club area set up in time for the new season.<br />
As you can see there is a lot of work to do!<br />
Swim Club 2012/2013 Season<br />
We are still looking for a co-Secretary to assist Tonja F and are hoping that a couple of Vice<br />
Presidents will come on board to learn the ropes and assist with the carnivals. This committee has<br />
joint members for most of the committee roles to share the workload and so that each member isn’t<br />
committed to every Friday night meet. Please let Sarah or Vicki know if you are interested.<br />

Friday night swim meets from 6pm – 8pm<br />
Term 4, every Friday night from 12 th Oct – 30 th Nov 2012*<br />
Term 1, every Friday night from 8 th Feb – 15 th Mar 2012**<br />
Cups & Carnivals<br />
<strong>Ascot</strong> Cup – Saturday 23 rd February 2013<br />
Club Championships – Sunday 10 th March 2013<br />
*Last year we struggled to get enough volunteers on the night of the Racecourse Rd Christmas Carols as so many <strong>Ascot</strong><br />
students were involved so we have decided not to run the Club meet on this night (Friday 23rd November 2012).<br />
**We will hold a trial night for the <strong>Ascot</strong> Cup team in 2013 on the 1st of February – the first Friday back in Term 1 2013 for<br />
those swimmers chosen to participate in the <strong>Ascot</strong> Cup.<br />
We had an awesome season last year and are hoping it will be an even better 2012/2013 season by<br />
welcoming back previous members and welcoming new ones.<br />
