Message from our Director
It is my privilege to serve as Director of Education and Training Services for the
Division of Family and Children Services. One of the greatest benefits for me is the
opportunity to make a difference in the community and see the impact we, as a body
of professionals dedicated to public service, have on people's lives. In providing
essential services to the community, we improve the quality of life - making Family
and Children’s Services a great place to work.
We value each employee as an individual and we encourage their development in
their assigned areas of responsibility. In an effort to promote greater understanding
of our section and the training opportunities we provide for employee future success,
we have compiled these pages of pertinent training related information in an easy to
use guide.
Within these pages, you will find detailed information about our organizational
structure, our various training program sequences and their course descriptions and
our specialized program areas for veteran employees. Additionally, we’ve sprinkled
in tips on obtaining waivers, certification and access to our website.
Towards the end of this book, we have included a picture directory of key staff and
their contact information. If you have any questions about our programs and
services, or comments about our training, website or any other service we may
