If you had a million dollars in your bank account to give to Magnolia Manor, how would you make the gift? Would you send a personal check through the mail? Probably not. Would you drive to the president’s office, walk in and personally hand him a check? Maybe. Would you call the Development Office and request someone to come and get the check? Perhaps. Would you give the money as an unrestricted gift, to be used however the Manor wishes? Possibly. Would you want your gift to go to a specific purpose, such as building construction or endowment growth? Could be. The point is, making a sizable gift to Magnolia Manor or any nonprofit organization requires a variety of considerations. In fact, even a gift of $10,000 can cause considerable deliberation. We in the Development Office of Magnolia Manor understand the dynamics of gift giving and realize that philanthropic satisfaction relates not only to the size of a gift, but to such things as how it is given, who is involved, when it occurs and what it accomplishes.
