Good morning
On 15 th March the SA Express flight I was booked
on from Hoedspruit to Johannesburg was delayed.
We received little information as to why or for how
long, and although I kept relaying my concerns
about my connecting flight, I was told that I would
make it. I did not, in fact, make it as I landed well
after it departed, and no alternative had
been arranged.
British Airways, the carrier with whom I was
booked for my onward flight, just shrugged, said
they had no flights, and that they would only be
able to help me the next day at my own cost.
I then went to SAA who referred me to SA
Express, who were amazing. I am so sorry that I did
not take down the names of the two ladies who
were on duty at the counter there, because they
were awesome. They never left my side, and went
to SAA, then BA, then Kulula, then back to SAA and
eventually confirmed me on an SAA flight home
because I had nobody to look after my children that
evening and could not get hold of their nanny.
I wanted to share my story with you and express
my gratitude to SA Express and SAA for being so
helpful and cooperative in order to get me home to
my children.
Kind regards
Lesley Greyling
To whom it may concern
I would like to commend two members of
your staff for assisting me recently with regard to
boarding a plane. The two employees in question
are Zolile Valashiya and Blaize Naledi Sibande.
They were extremely helpful – in particular Zolile
who did everything in his power to assist me to
board an SA Express plane to Gaborone.
Please make a note of this on their employment
records and thank them again for me.
Kind regards
Edward Harvey
To SAA Ground and Air Crews
My 95-year-old mother travelled alone from Port
Elizabeth to Cape Town on flight SA 1836 on
23 rd March. She was taken to and from the aircraft
in a wheelchair by the SAA staff. She enjoyed the
flight and was full of praise for the staff. My sincere
thanks to them.
As a result, she was looking forward to her return
flight on 6 th April, which also went well. She is now
96 years old and very confident about
travelling alone.
Well done!
Sincerely
Colin Stevens
