152 SLEIGH - built in Austria; painted blue with gold lining, upholstered in blue cloth, carved
birds head at the front and carved dub ends, screw brake, with vis-à-vis type seating and
rear bullion fringe rumble seat, comes with pole and swingletrees for a pair. This is a
coachman driven sleigh, the box seat is convertible for four passengers and the coachman
stands on the rear step.
Estimate: £1,000 – 1,500
History - Purchased in Holland in February 1992 from Frits van der Heuvel together with
a Gelderlander mare “Dolly”. Repainted by Eugene Larkin in 2001.
