165 CLARENCE No.3 - built by Peters & Sons of London; finished in Royal burgundy and<br />
black, lined in gold with original button leather upholstery with ivory fittings, on 12 and<br />
14-spoke Warner wheels, small rear window, crest on the doors and rear, wedge driver’s<br />
seat and a pair of black/brass lamps by Peters & Sons of London. Complete with pole.<br />

History - This Clarence was built by Peters in about 1880 for use by the Royal Household<br />
where it remained until sold by <strong>Thimbleby</strong> & <strong>Shorland</strong> in January 2001 to the late Simon<br />
Baker. It was then fully restored by Fairbourne Carriages of Kent retaining the Royal<br />
burgundy and black paintwork and with the royal crest on the doors. Norman purchased<br />
this Clarence at the dispersal of Mr Baker’s collection in 2007.<br />
