Camp Giborim

Giborim Unit Head (gr. 3-5)
Camp Giborim had a splendid
week. We enjoyed the inflatable
slip and slide along with a water
obstacle course at THA. We also
enjoyed a trip to the fascinating
Colossal Caves.
This coming week will be
one to remember. On Monday we
will enjoy a performance and
rotations by the Israeli Scouts. On
Wednesday we will head up to
Phoenix for Camp Day at the
Diamondbacks game and then
back to the JCC for the annual
overnight. On Friday we will
conclude our spectacular week
with a special added trip to the
Barnum and Bailey Circus. We
will not be providing lunch on this
Friday, so please remember to
send your with money or a sack
lunch (may bring to the arena)
child to camp in closed-toed
shoes.
Camp Tiyul
Matt Smith
Tiyul Unit Head (gr. 6-9)
Camp Tiyul had another
amazing week of adventure. We
jumped, raced and climbed at Pump
It Up, Rocks and Ropes, and Skate
Country, pretended to be DJs at
Clear Channel Radio (93.7), had a
BBQ at the park, and explored our
scientific sides at the Phoenix
Science Center.
This coming week we look
forward to a visit from the Israeli
Scouts on Monday and our trip to
Chase Field for a Diamondbacks
baseball game. After the game we
have our overnight at the JCC where
we will be playing games, watching
movies, and telling fun stories!
Lastly, we have a special added
Friday trip to Barnum and Bailey’s
Circus! We will not be providing
lunch on Friday. Please bring money
or a sack lunch for the Circus.
Camp Pictures, Week 3
Camp Bonim/LIT

Alyssa Oberman Bonim L.I.T. Coordinator (Leaders In Training) (gr. 9-11)
We just finished another wonderful week at camp. Campers spent the
week working with groups and did an absolutely wonderful job. We took a
break from the groups on Thursday to spend some time together as a group
and made our own LIT tie-dyed shirts. We also went over our first set of
counselor evaluations and, no surprise to us, everyone did a nice job. We
are so happy to have such a wonderful group of LITs.
Next week we have the Tzofim coming to spend the day with us on
Monday and on Wednesday we will be joining the groups going to the
Diamondbacks game. We cannot wait to see what next week brings us.

Wednesday overnight at the Tucson JCC for grades 2 and
up. Each camp will have information passed out on
Monday about the Diamondbacks and Overnight.
Friday special added field trip for Camps’ Giborim and
Tiyul at Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus.
*(lunch will not provided for Camps’ Giborim and Tiyul on Friday. Lunch
may be purchased at the Circus, or campers can bring a sack lunch.).

Hello! As the summer heat
continues to rise it is important to remind
your campers of the importance of a
hearty breakfast and the need to drink
plenty of water throughout the day. If
your camper complains of an earache or
sore eyes after swimming, please feel
free to pack goggles and provide ear
drops. Have a great summer.
