Advising
The College of Pharmacy faculty and staff
place a high value on academic advising. Student
success is directly related to advising; the
curriculum is demanding and much of it is
sequential. Additionally, individual health
status and CPR/AED and First Aid certification
are verified when the student meets with
his or her advisor.
All pharmacy students are assigned a faculty
advisor beginning with the P-1 orientation.
Mandatory advising is required every semester.
During the scheduled preregistration period,
an individualized Advising Certificate (in
duplicate) is distributed to each faculty advisor.
The certificates indicate the appropriate
course schedule and health status. Each student
will meet with his or her advisor whereby
one copy of the signed certificate must be returned
to the Associate Dean’s office indicating
that the student will be cleared to preregister.
