2010 START OF SCHOOL DATES<br />
Wednesday, August 25 Tuesday, August 31 The first day of school for all<br />
Freshman/New Student Orientation First Day of <strong>School</strong> students will be Tuesday,<br />
<strong>Copley</strong> <strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> main gym 9:30 am<br />
August 31. On this day<br />
students will report directly<br />
to homeroom to pick up<br />
current copies of their schedules.<br />
COUNSELORS RETURN<br />
The counselors will be back in the building starting Monday, August 16, 2010. Students may resolve any<br />
schedule conflicts from August 20 through August 27. Preference change requests will not be granted.<br />
Registration for new students will be August 17, 18 and 19 from 9:00-11:00 am and from 1:00-3:00 pm each day.<br />
Registration papers can be downloaded from the district website and returned to the Board of Education<br />
office. After the application is approved, new students may schedule an appointment with the Guidance<br />
Office by calling (330) 664-4827. The orientation program for all students new to the building will be<br />
Wednesday, August 25 from 9:30-11:00 am in the main gym.<br />
The CHS administration, faculty and staff are concerned with the academic program and progress of<br />
each student. To facilitate organization, CHS students are categorized alphabetically by last name with a<br />
guidance counselor.<br />
Both the SAT and the ACT require registration at least one month prior to the actual test date. Late<br />
registration is available with an extra fee. Registration information and sample materials are available in<br />
the Guidance Office or on-line.<br />
