Sports Camps<br />

Early morning care<br />

and extended day care<br />

Early Morning Care is available from 7:00 until 8:30 a.m.<br />

Arrangements can be made in advance. Extended Day Care<br />

is available for Junior Campers from noon until 6:00 p.m. For<br />

Full-Day Campers, the program is available from 3:00 until<br />

6:00 p.m. (Supervised swimming is included.) Arrangements<br />

can be made in advance and blocks of time may be<br />

purchased in advance.<br />

Arrangements for “occasional” early morning care and<br />

extended day care may be made at the hourly rate of $12.00<br />

at the time your child is dropped off (must be paid at time of<br />

service); less if purchased in advanced:<br />

Lunch: Children attending Full-Day sessions and Junior<br />

Camp Extended Day Care bring their own lunch and<br />

beverage. Refrigeration is available. Junior Campers not<br />

staying for Extended Day are dismissed before lunch.<br />

Insurance: The Day Camp insures all children with group<br />

accident insurance at no charge to parents. Eyeglasses and<br />

mouth retainers are included.<br />

Dress: The Day Camp uniform consists of navy<br />

blue shorts (no jeans), white t-shirts with the<br />

camp insignia, socks and tennis shoes. Camp<br />

T-shirts and shorts are available at the Online Camp<br />

Store at www.uls.org.<br />

We recommend sweatshirts and sweatpants for cool days. All<br />

clothing must have camper’s name marked in indelible ink<br />

or on name tags. The camp will not be responsible for lost<br />

clothing articles.<br />

Special Combination Programs<br />

will not be issued<br />

for unused hours.<br />

As a special offering, Full-Day campers may choose a<br />

combination program concentrating in one area from 1:10<br />

until 2:10 p.m. for each three-week session. During this<br />

time frame, some special events will take place. Campers<br />

registered for combination programs will require written<br />

parental permission to attend the special events in lieu of their<br />

combined program.<br />

The combination programs are:<br />

Day Camp/Tennis Clinic<br />

First or Second session (Second- through seventh-grades)<br />

Day Camp/Soccer Clinic<br />

Second session only (Second- through seventh-grades)<br />

Space is limited and there is an additional fee for the program<br />

of $132.00 per session. The fee is non-refundable after the<br />

camper begins the program.<br />

GIRLS Field Hockey Camp<br />

Do you have a daughter who wants to learn the game of field<br />

hockey? Or, do you have a daughter who wants to take her game<br />

to the next level? If so, this is the camp for her! She will learn the<br />

fundamentals of the game — dribbling, passing, dodging and<br />

scoring — as well as strategy, techniques and team concepts. Stick,<br />

mouthguard, shinguards and cleats are necessary. Mouthguards and<br />

sticks may be purchased on the first day of camp. Girls will receive a<br />

<strong>Liggett</strong> Field Hockey Camp t-shirt and field hockey ball. Registration<br />

forms need to be returned by June 1, 2010. Contact Biffy Fowler at<br />

GRADES<br />

GIRLS Basketball Camp<br />

This camp is designed to teach the fundamentals of basketball in<br />

an encouraging and fun environment. Skills of particular emphasis<br />

will be ball handling, shooting, passing, rebounding, and defense.<br />

Girls will also improve their team play through daily scrimmages.<br />

Each camper should bring gym shoes and a water bottle. There<br />

will be a limited enrollment of 30 campers, so early registration is<br />

encouraged. Registration runs through August 1. Contact Ashley<br />
