Boys Lacrosse Camp<br />
This lacrosse camp teaches boys the individual skills<br />
of ball control, passing, dodging and scoring as well<br />
as team concepts, techniques and strategy. The boys<br />
are introduced to the various fundamental skills of<br />
lacrosse before their teams play one another in full<br />
field scrimmages. Each camper must bring a stick,<br />
helmet, gloves, shoulder pads and cleats. Gloves,<br />
helmet, and shoulder pads can be rented.<br />
Director: John Fowler, former <strong>Liggett</strong>, Grosse<br />
Pointe South, and Troy Athens coach, along with<br />
Ken Brubaker and other excellent high school and<br />
collegiate instructors as well as professional clinicians<br />
(college coaches)<br />

Ages: Boys entering fourth- through sixth-grade<br />
Boys entering seventh- through ninth-grade<br />

Girls Lacrosse Camp<br />
This camp allows girls to have fun while learning<br />
or improving the basic skills of lacrosse: cradling,<br />
throwing and catching, ground balls, cutting<br />
and shooting — as well as the rules and strategies<br />
of full field play. Each girl must have her own stick,<br />
goggles and mouthguard. Mouthguards and goggles<br />
may be purchased on the first day of camp.<br />
Director: Biffy Fowler, <strong>Liggett</strong> Coach, along with other<br />
area coaches and collegiate and high school players<br />
Times: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.<br />
Dates: June 21 - June 25<br />
Ages: Girls entering fourth- through ninth-grade<br />
Cost: $120.00<br />
These two camps take place on the spacious<br />
athletic fields at <strong>Liggett</strong>’s Cook Road campus.<br />
Both camps fill up quickly with a limited<br />
enrollment.<br />
Registration runs through June 1, 2010. Insurance is provided for all participants, and there is a late entry<br />

david backhurst Soccer Clinics<br />
Participants will learn how to shoot with greater power,<br />
how to pass with accuracy, how to receive a pass, how to<br />
dribble with a soccer ball, how to score more goals, how<br />
to prevent others from scoring, positional play, how to<br />
head the ball, and individual and team strategy. A special<br />
goaltending session will also be offered.<br />
The clinic provides ability groupings for beginners<br />
and advanced players and excellent instruction with a<br />
student-instructor ratio of 7:1. Each participant will be<br />
provided with a soccer ball, a camp shirt and insurance.<br />
Also available is optional swimming at <strong>University</strong> <strong>Liggett</strong><br />
<strong>School</strong> swimming pools at the end of each afternoon<br />
