Chinese Experiences in Europe
Zhu Weiping’s internship had
three main goals: to get to know the
organization of FS; to investigate the
operation and management of education
and research in FS; and to carry out her
own research on SMEs. Specifically, Zhu
Weiping intended to develop a strategy
for the business school because, as she
reports, “Without clear strategy of one
organisation, how could it achieve,
sustain and renew its competitive
advantage in order to get into favourable
positions?” In addition, she planned to
set a series of measures to guarantee that
the strategy was carried out properly and
intended to introduce the above measures
on international education at her home
university. She also collected a great deal
of information on other relevant research
about SMEs.
Zhu Weiping was asked to contribute
to FS by giving some lectures to the
postgraduate students in line with her
professional background. She decided to
concentrate her lectures on “Enterprise
Law of China”, a topic of interest to the
students. In the words of Zhu Weiping, “I
am quite happy to have these experiences
in Europe. My training, seeing and doing
in Europe gave me more thoughts and
ideas for my home university, for my
research institute and for my law firm. I
hope the collaboration between Europe
and China will be more, and that more
Chinese and European people can benefit
from each other.”
