Day 1
Arrive Leh
Arrive in Leh (3,505 m), situated in the Indus valley covered with
stark awe inspiring mountains and the cold desert beyond. Transfer
to hotel and rest of the day is at leisure to acclimatize. Overnight
stay at hotel.
Day 2
Leh
Today you will proceed for a full day visit to the Shey palace, Thiksey
& Hemis Monastery, (all founded under the direct patronage of
members of the ruling Namgyal dynasty). You will also visit the Stok
Palace Museum. Rest of the evening is at your leisure. Overnight stay
at hotel.
Day 3
Leh - Nubra Valley (140 Kms / 5-6 hrs)
This morning you will drive to Nubra Valley enroute crossing the
Khardungla Pass, the world’s highest motorable road (18,000 feet).
Arrive and proceed to your camp. This afternoon you will visit the
Deskit Monastery and explore the sand dunes. Overnight stay at the
tented camp.
Day 5
Leh - Uleytopko (70 Kms/2-3 hrs)
Today you will be driven to Uleytopko enroute visit the Hall of Fame,
Magnetic Hill and Alchi monastery. Arrive and proceed to your
camp. Rest of the day is at leisure to go on small treks around the
Uleytopko. Overnight stay at camp.
Day 6
Uleytopko - Leh (70 Kms / 2-3 Hrs)
Today you will be transferred back to Leh by road enroute visit the
Liker Monastery. Rest of the day is at your leisure for shopping &
own activities. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7
Depart Leh
Transfer to airport for your journey back home.
Day 4
Nubra Valley - Leh
Following a breakfast you will drive back to Leh. Rest of the day is at
leisure for shopping and individual activities. Overnight stay at hotel.
