Day 1<br />
Ahmedabad - Bhavnagar (207 Kms / 3-4 Hrs)<br />
Arrive in Ahmedabad. Transfer to Bhavnagar. Founded in 1743<br />
A.D., by Bhavsinhji Gohil, Bhavnagar was the capital of a former<br />
princely state. It is located on the scenic Gulf of Kambhat<br />
(Cambay), on the South <strong>East</strong>ern coast of Saurashtra and a<br />
gateway to the world famous Jain temples of Palitana. On arrival<br />
proceed to visit the Jain Temples at Palitana, atop the hill, which<br />
is a conglomeration of 863 exquisitely carved Jain shrines built<br />
by devotees during a period spanning 900 years from the 11 th<br />
century onwards. Here you will climb 3,500 steps to reach the<br />
top of the hills to reach the temples (Dolis and palanquins, are<br />
available and charges are as per the weight). Overnight stay at<br />

Day 2<br />
Bhavnagar - Diu (223 Kms / 4-5 Hrs)<br />
Today you will be transferred to Diu, a beautiful tiny island, on the<br />
west coast of <strong>India</strong>, with a coastal length of 21 Kms. The word<br />
`Diu’ is derived from the Sanskrit word ‘Dweep’. Diu was one of<br />
the best sea ports and a naval base between the 14 th and 16 th<br />
Century. Proceed to your hotel and rest of the day is at leisure on<br />
the beach. Overnight stay at hotel.<br />
Day 3<br />
Diu<br />
Full day is at leisure on the beach or optionally you may visit the<br />
Diu Fort. Overnight stay at hotel.<br />
Day 4<br />
Diu - Sasangir (128 Kms / 3 4 Hrs)<br />
This morning you will drive to Sasangir. Enroute you will visit the<br />
Somnath the most sacred Lord Shiva Temple in Western <strong>India</strong>,<br />
proceed to your forest lodge and rest of the day is at your leisure.<br />

Day 5<br />
Sasan Gir<br />
Early morning and evening you will take a Lion Safari by jeep /<br />
canter in the Gir Forest. Overnight stay at hotel.<br />
Day 6<br />
Sasan Gir - Rajkot (155 Kms / 4 Hrs)<br />
Today you will drive from Sasangir to Rajkot, the gateway to<br />
Saurashtra, followed by hotel check-in. In the afternoon, proceed<br />
for a city sightseeing tour of Rajkot, visit the Kaba Gandhi No<br />
Delo, house of Mahatma Gandhi, proceed to Jagat Mandir, and<br />
lastly visit the Watson Museum and library. The evening is at<br />
leisure to explore local markets. Overnight stay at hotel.<br />
