Day 1<br />

Ahmedabad - Rajkot (250 Kms / 5-6 Hrs)<br />

Arrive in Ahmedabad and drive to Rajkot, the former capital of<br />

the princely state of the same name and a fast growing city of<br />

the Saurashtra peninsula. Arrive and proceed to your hotel. In the<br />

afternoon, proceed for a city sightseeing tour of Rajkot, visit Kaba<br />

Gandhi No Delo, house of Mahatma Gandhi, proceed to Jagat<br />

Mandir, and lastly visit Watson Museum and library. Evening is at<br />

your leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.<br />

Day 2<br />

Rajkot - Junagadh (99 Kms / 2 Hrs)<br />

Today you will proceed to Junagadh. An ancient fortified city,<br />

rich in myth and legend, Junagadh lies at the foot of the Girnar<br />

Hills. Enroute to Junagadh you will stop to visit the famous Gondal<br />

Palace, also you will witness a fine collection of automobiles<br />

which are now part of a museum in the palace premises. Rest of<br />

the evening is at your leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.<br />

Day 3<br />

Junagadh - Girnar - Junagadh<br />

Today you will proceed for a full day excursion to Girnar Hills,<br />

one of the most sacred pilgrim places for Jains in <strong>India</strong>. These<br />

hills rise to a height of more than 600 meters, with five peaks<br />

crowned by 16 carved and sculptured marble shrines. A steep<br />

climb of about 2000 steps leads to the temples. The oldest and<br />

largest temple is dedicated to Neminath, the 22 nd Tirthankar, who<br />

attained ‘Diksha’ here. Overnight stay at hotel.<br />

Day 4<br />

Junagadh - Gir (60 Kms / 1 hour)<br />

In the morning you will drive to the Gir forest, the only place in<br />

the world, outside Africa where the Asiatic lion can be seen in<br />

its natural habitat. Arrive and proceed to your hotel. Visit the Gir<br />

National Park, you may have an opportunity to see the Asiatic<br />

Lions, you may also sight the largest <strong>India</strong>n Deer, Sambar, Chital,<br />

Nilgai, Chinkara and the unique Chousingha are found here, along<br />

with the bear and the long tailed langur. The peacock, <strong>India</strong>’s<br />

national bird with its resplendent can also be spotted here.<br />

Day 5<br />

Gir - Junagadh / Ahmedabad (350 Kms / 7-8 Hrs)<br />

Early this morning you may visit the National park for optional<br />

game viewing. Later you will drive to Ahmedabad, a unique city,<br />

blending an ancient heritage with a vibrant present. The city’s<br />

prosperous and eventful past is embodied in its rich kaleidoscope<br />

of history, art and culture. Proceed to your hotel, rest of the day is<br />

at leisure. Overnight stay at hotel.<br />
