traces in Liechtenstein, which is why the
country offers dishes and specialties from all
around the world. But also local dishes like
Käsknöpfle (noodle pasta with cheese),
Schwartenmagen (brawn), and Ribel (local
grain variety) are big hits in local spots and
gourmet restaurants alike. There is an
astonishingly high number of establishments
with Gault Millau points, Michelin
stars and chef’s hats. Hospitality is writ large
everywhere, whether you’re enjoying a tasty
cake according to grandmother’s recipe in a
garden restaurant or a soufflé à la Liechtenstein

Fine wines
The «Föhn» wind casts a spell on Liechtenstein.
Especially winegrowers love the warm
southerly wind, since thanks to the Föhn
and the mild climate, vineyards grow and
thrive particularly well. The world famous
Hofkellerei of the Prince of Liechtenstein is
something special. The grapes from the
Princely vineyards are pressed there. The
wines enjoy an excellent reputation
internationally. Drop by there or another
winery and taste the fine wines. You’ll make
someone very happy by bringing home a
red wine with a fine bouquet, a crisp white
wine, a sparkling Sekt, or a princely Marc as
a souvenir.
