Cross-country skiing
On the way to Malbun, a small crosscountry
skiing paradise awaits you in Steg.
Four different types of trails for beginners
and advanced cross-country skiers are
prepared, both for classical skiing or skating.
Those who like skiing by moonlight are also
in luck: The three-kilometer (two-mile) long,
illuminated night trail will make you starstruck.
And whoever wants to discover the
sport of cross-country skiing is in the right
place at the Cross-Country Ski School.
Tobogganing
No winter without tobogganing! Walk from
Steg to the Sücka Alp, sit down on your
toboggan, and away you go! The natural
toboggan chute is 1000 meters (about
3300 feet) long and can be navigated at
night, thanks to illumination. Then it‘s worth
enjoying a marvelous-smelling fondue in
the cozy mountain restaurant before the
lightning-fast run. You can also toboggan in
Malbun, for instance on the Turna-Malbun
toboggan run. For smaller guests, there‘s
also an ideal toboggan slope beneath the
Peace Chapel.
Skiing up and down
You love steady ascents in seclusion and
descents in powder snow. Our snowy
mountain landscape is the ideal place for
short and long ski tours. Ice-skating in the
middle of the village – yes, you can do that,
too. Children and adults romp around on
the natural ice field in Malbun and enjoy the
unobstructed view of the snow-covered
mountains. An airboard is like flying on
snow and can be tried in Malbun. You’re
also in with a snowscoot, a cross between
BMX and a snowboard. And you’re off!
Après-ski, etc.
Relax in the sauna, steam bath, or solarium;
strengthen your muscles in the fitness room
or in one of the hotel swimming pools; or
spoil yourself with a beauty treatment. And
many other varied activities are on the
agenda: curling, a children‘s afternoon with
free punch, and a happy hour. To round
things off on a perfect note, a cozy fondue
get-together on Sücka or a raclette evening
in the Sareiserjoch mountain restaurant,
sometimes even with live music, beckon.
Have fun!
