W ramach wspó∏pracy mi´dzynarodowej w Zak∏adzie Ubezpieczeƒ
Spo∏ecznych goÊci∏y delegacje zagraniczne z Rumunii,
W∏och, Czech, Chiƒskiej Republiki Ludowej, Macedonii, Turcji
i Holandii.
W 2008 r. przedstawiciele ZUS byli tak˝e uczestnikami innych
konferencji i seminariów:
• XVII Konferencji Instytucji Zabezpieczenia Spo∏ecznego
Krajów Nadba∏tyckich w Jurmali na ¸otwie – poÊwi´conej
strategii i instrumentom informacji publicznej
w ubezpieczeniach spo∏ecznych (w trakcie spotkania
przedstawiciel ZUS wyg∏osi∏ referat na temat „Strategia
komunikacyjna Zak∏adu Ubezpieczeƒ Spo∏ecznych”),
• seminarium na rzecz zdrowia w Lublianie – zorganizowanego
przez Europejskà Sieç Zabezpieczenia Spo∏ecznego,
• mi´dzynarodowego seminarium w Londynie – poÊwi´conego
strategii zarzàdzania,
• kolokwium w Berlinie – zorganizowanego przez niemieckà
instytucj´ ubezpieczenia spo∏ecznego, na temat nowych
rozwiàzaƒ w zakresie przepisów emerytalno-rentowych,
• konferencji w Pary˝u – zorganizowanej przez Prezydencj´
Francuskà UE, poÊwi´conej zabezpieczeniu spo∏ecznemu
w Unii Europejskiej,
• mi´dzynarodowych targów poligraficznych DRUPA
w Dusseldorfie.
Wa˝nym obszarem wspó∏pracy mi´dzynarodowej Zak∏adu
Ubezpieczeƒ Spo∏ecznych sà dzia∏ania w ramach koordynacji
w dziedzinie zabezpieczenia spo∏ecznego. Z chwilà przystàpienia

Within the framework of international co-operation the Social
Insurance Institution was visited by foreign delegations
from Romania, Italy, Czech Republic, People’s Republic of
China, Macedonia, Turkey and the Netherlands.
In 2008 ZUS representatives attended also other conferences
and seminars:
• 17 th Baltic Sea States Conference on Social Security held
in Jurmala, Latvia – devoted to the strategy and public
communication tools in the social insurance area (during
the conference a ZUS representative delivered a paper
entitled „Communication Strategy of the Social Insurance
Institution”),
• Health seminar in Lublana, Slovenia – organised by
the European Network of Social Security,
• an international seminar in London on management strategy,
• a colloquium in Berlin – organised by the German social
insurance institution on new solutions in pension legislation,
• a conference in Paris – organised by EU French Presidency
on social security in the European Union,
• DRUPA international printing trade show in Dusseldorf.
A major area of international co-operation of the Social Insurance
Institution are co-ordination measures in the social
security area. Upon Poland’s accession to the European
Union the international co-operation of the Social Insurance
Institution based on some social security bilateral agreements
with EU Member States was replaced with the application
of EU regulations on the co-ordination of social security
systems (page 38-39 comprises a list of ZUS branch offices
applying the EU regulations in the field of pension benefits
covered by the co-ordination measures), except for some
provisions in bilateral agreements concluded with Austria
