Yacht Race at the brand new<br />
Marina at <strong>Keppel</strong> Bay on<br />
19 <strong>January</strong>.<br />
This was the second time<br />
that Singapore is fielding an<br />
entry in the Clipper Round<br />
the World Yacht Race. The<br />
main sponsor of Uniquely<br />
Singapore for the Clipper<br />
07-08 Race is <strong>Keppel</strong><br />
<strong>Corporation</strong>, together with<br />
race partner, the Singapore<br />
Tourism Board.<br />
The Clipper 07-08 Race Fleet<br />
sailed in from Fremantle,<br />
making an eventful nine-day<br />
stop-over in Singapore<br />
before continuing the race<br />
to Qingdao, China on<br />
27 <strong>January</strong> <strong>2008</strong>.<br />
At the opening of Marina at<br />
<strong>Keppel</strong> Bay, Senior Minister<br />
Goh Chok Tong also<br />
bestowed the Uniquely<br />
Singapore Cup, sponsored<br />
by <strong>Keppel</strong>, upon New York<br />
Clipper, who won the race<br />
from Fremantle to Singapore.<br />
