The architectural design of the ASK-LDT is based on a multi-tier database model. The produced<br />

Designer Toolkit supports metadata <strong>for</strong> learning resources that con<strong>for</strong>m to the IEEE Learning Object<br />

Metadata 1484.12.1.-2002 st<strong>and</strong>ard <strong>and</strong> the output packages con<strong>for</strong>m to the IMS Content Packaging<br />

v1.1.3 specification.<br />

ASK-SCORM-Toolkit<br />

ASK-SCORM-Toolkit is a Learning Management System con<strong>for</strong>mant with the state-of-the-art<br />

Learning Technology specifications, such as the IMS <strong>and</strong> SCORM.<br />

The ASK-SCORM-Toolkit is a scalable <strong>and</strong> extendable environment, based on an open<br />

architecture <strong>and</strong> the use of open source technologies.<br />

ASK-SCORM-Toolkit con<strong>for</strong>ms with the SCORM v1.2 <strong>and</strong> AICC specification, as well as with the<br />

IMS Question <strong>and</strong> Test Interoperability (IMS QTI) specification <strong>and</strong> the IEEE Learning<br />

Object Metadata 1484.12.1.1-2002 st<strong>and</strong>ard. It also con<strong>for</strong>ms with the IMS Learner<br />

In<strong>for</strong>mation Package (IMS LIP) specification <strong>for</strong> tracking learners' profiles, preferences <strong>and</strong><br />

progress in<strong>for</strong>mation.<br />
