ASK-SCORM-Toolkit supports all the participants in a learning process, such as:<br />

• e-Learning Content Authors<br />
• Administrators<br />
The main features of ASK-SCORM-Toolkit are:<br />
• Allows synchronous <strong>and</strong> asynchronous communication <strong>and</strong> collaboration<br />
• Provides Assessment <strong>and</strong> Certification services<br />
• Provides access to Learning Object Repositories allowing the creation, management<br />
based on reusable learning objects<br />
• Allows on-line <strong>and</strong> off-line access to courses<br />
ASK-SCORM-Toolkit is currently under beta testing process <strong>and</strong> it will become publicly<br />
available at beginning of 2006.<br />

GAIA - A microworld based educational software <strong>for</strong> cross-curriculum <strong>and</strong><br />
exploratory study of the Earth<br />
GAIA is a microworld based educational software aiming to be smoothly integrated into the Greek<br />
National Curriculum. GAIA motivates students to study, explore <strong>and</strong> underst<strong>and</strong> concepts relevant to<br />
Geography, Mathematics, Physics, Astronomy <strong>and</strong> History of Science <strong>and</strong> Technology, through the<br />
use of appropriate representations <strong>and</strong> specific features that assist students to express their ideas<br />
during problem solving.<br />
GAIA utilizes the pedagogical approach of multiple representations. A didactic concept can be<br />
represented through multiple ways. 3D graphics offer an interesting <strong>and</strong> stimulating experience that<br />
increases students engagement <strong>and</strong> participation, while 3D representations create a highly<br />
interactive environment that helps the students underst<strong>and</strong> complicated concepts.<br />
