How did Nikki Beach start?<br />
Nikki Beach was created to celebrate the life of my<br />
daughter Nicole. It started as a beautiful garden by the<br />
sea which we called Café Nikki where friends and family<br />
could get together. We did not have any plans for a global<br />
brand but the magic between our family concept and our<br />
customers created a demand. It was then that we decided<br />
to expand worldwide whilst always keeping the core<br />
message behind Nikki Beach – ensuring each location<br />
combines the key elements of dining, entertainment,<br />
music, fashion, film and art into one. These things, in<br />
addition to family and friends, are the things in life that<br />
Nicole loved most.<br />
You started your brand in Miami – have you adapted the<br />
offering at all for the Asia market?<br />
Yes. We are currently located in Miami Beach, Florida,<br />
USA; St. Tropez, France; St. Barths, French West Indies;<br />
Marbella, Mallorca and Ibiza, Spain; Marrakech, Morocco;<br />
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; and Koh Samui and Phuket,<br />
Thailand so we adapt to the regions we are in. We have<br />
a 70% - 30% motto. 70% of the menu, design, music,<br />
themed events and so forth are the same across all<br />
locations as we are a family-owned and operated brand<br />
and concept. 30% of them are unique to the culture of<br />
the location.<br />

Sharing a sundowner with the founder of<br />
Nikki Beach, which recently opened in Phuket<br />
Tell us about Nikki Beach in Phuket and what guests can<br />
expect there.<br />
Someone once told me that we changed the way people<br />
party around the world. I am not sure if we did or not,<br />
but our commitment is to celebrate life and that is what<br />
guests can experience at Nikki Beach Phuket. Every<br />
Nikki Beach brings the elements of great food along with<br />
fun entertainment, music and fashion shows. Also, the<br />
staff at both our locations in Thailand (Phuket and Koh<br />
Samui) are excellent; truly the best of the best.<br />
What about Nikki Privé, the VIP area in your Phuket venue?<br />
Nikki Privé is an ultra-VIP lounge, located on the 2nd<br />
floor of the main building and is able to accommodate up<br />
to 70 guests for private events, dinners and celebrations. It<br />
also includes a deck that can accommodate an additional<br />
60 guests.<br />
Are there any exciting events coming up this summer that<br />
our readers should know about?<br />
Arts + Fashion Weekend will be held at our Phuket<br />
location in July (and in August at our resort in Koh<br />
