How do you define good fashion taste? Good taste<br />
is subjective. If you love it, then wear it. It’s important<br />
to have a point of view and be 100% confident in it.<br />
Confidence defines good taste.<br />
Describe your own style in three words. Austere,<br />
romantic, dandy.<br />
Who is your fashion hero/heroine whose style has<br />
influenced your own? Yves Saint Laurent. He inspired<br />
masculine womenswear.<br />
Which city do you like best for shopping and why? It’s<br />
a tie between Seoul and Berlin. The selections in these<br />
cities are very unique, strong and forward thinking.<br />
The best shop in Hong Kong is… I have to say Lane<br />
Crawford. It’s hard to beat. Their selection of product is<br />
great.<br />
The fashion designer I most admire and why… Again, Yves<br />
Saint Laurent. He changed the way people saw women’s<br />
fashion in the 80s. I don’t know if we will ever see a shift<br />
like that in fashion again.<br />
My biggest fashion faux pas was… Accidentally sending<br />
a ‘love you’ email to someone in the industry with the<br />
same first name as my husband…oops!<br />
My favourite shoes are… My Ports 1961 SS/14 sandal<br />
heels. I especially like them in powder blue ostrich.<br />
My favourite handbag is… My Ports 1961 No. 10 bag.<br />
I have it in blush pink, black and soon to be croc and<br />
python! It’s super functional (very important for me)<br />
and it’s the perfect balance between structured and soft.<br />
I think the most beautiful model in the world is… Joan<br />
Smalls. Best cheek bones ever! We kind of discovered<br />
her back in 2007 when we shot our SS/08 campaign<br />
in Africa. She was just a kid back then, now she’s a<br />
supermodel.<br />
The next thing on my wish list is… I want to write<br />
my own cookery book. Yup, I’m a foodie as well as a<br />
fashionista!<br />
The most expensive fashion item in my wardrobe right<br />
now… Tough one. I guess it would have to be one of my<br />
fur coats.<br />
My watch is by… Cartier. It’s actually a man’s watch. I<br />
prefer a chunky, masculine watch.<br />
Jewellery brands I like and why… I don’t wear a lot of<br />
jewellery and when I do, I only wear bespoke.<br />
If I could only wear one luxury brand for the rest of<br />
my life… Hmmm…it would have to be a brand that has<br />
a total lifestyle look. One that suits the busy life of a<br />
professional woman. It would be Ports 1961, of course!<br />
My fashion motto… Love it or cut it!<br />
