tossed into the air are reminded of the typical ‘fast-track’<br />
superficial process of navigating an art fair.<br />
Xu, who won the Chinese Contemporary Art<br />
Award in 2004, and was the youngest Chinese artist<br />
to participate in the Venice Biennale (2001 and 2005),<br />
also made his mark on the fair with paintings from<br />
his ‘Under Heaven’ series using a pastry chef ’s icing<br />
applicator to apply pigment to create exquisitely lavish<br />
