Pool Party Request Form Baxter Pool Party Rules 1. Set up and Clean up is the party host responsibility 2. The Association will not loan or lease Association furniture for your event. You are responsible for bringing your own furniture to the “approved” pool party location. 3. All trash associated with your event must be disposed of in the dumpster in the parking lot of each pool. Event trash must not be disposed of in pool deck trash cans. Hosts should leave the area used as clean or cleaner than they found it! 4. Party host may not have use of the interior of the clubhouse unless renting the clubhouse (this includes use of kitchen). 5. Depending on the number of non-member guests, additional lifeguard(s) may be required at the expense of the party host. 6. A $50.00 deposit payable to Baxter Community Association will be required at the time of reservation to insure that all rules are followed and returned the next business day following the event. It is payment of these dues that will qualify residents to make use of all the amenities and activities that summertime in Baxter brings. Don’t find yourself left out - bring your Dues Balance current before May 1 st to ensure a trouble-free pool season! If you have not yet sent in your payment, you should act immediately by either paying one installment of $825.00 or two installments ($425.00 for the first installment, which includes a $25.00 late fee, and the second installment of $400.00 no later than May 1 st to avoid an additional late fee of $25.00). ARC Reminder ~ Architecture Review Updates... Please be advised to use the revised ARC application effective 3/1/2011, now available online at Baxterfrontporches.com on the downloadable forms page or either email Kathey Harter at Kharter@comporium.net. As well, effective March 1, 2011, the following grasses are endorsed by the Baxter Community Association: Fescue (all varieties); Bermuda – Sunsport and Princess (seed varieties) and Tifsport and Tifway 419 (sod varieties); and Zoysia – Zeon, Meyer, and Jamur (sod varieties). Bermuda & Zoysia (B&Z): are more heat and drought tolerant while being more eco-friendly allowing more practical irrigation solutions, BOTH B & Z will become dormant and turn brown in the Fall & Winter, Bermuda DOES allow over seeding in the Fall & Winter while Zoysia DOES NOT, additional information regarding these grasses and general information can be found at buysod.com and similar websites. Over seeding with rye grass will be at the homeowner’s discretion. Any issues related to creep of grass from yard to yard shall be the neighbor’s responsibility to address and resolve. IMPORTANT - ARC requests applicants who are making landscaping improvements must provide the type of turf grass they are installing as part of their application as currently required. General Safety Reminders... Please be mindful of the following: Exhibit “C” of the Baxter Restrictions & Rules of the CC&R’s, 1.(r) prohibits the operation of motorized vehicles on pathways or trails maintained by the Association. Signage and Notices... Please be advised that “lost pet” notices may not be posted on street light poles or street signs in the neighborhood and residents could be fined if they violate the neighborhood policy. As well, vendor signs may only be in residents yards during the hours the contractor is on sight working. 2012 Swim & Pool Season Reminder... The 2012 Swim Season is approaching quickly and in order to provide a safe and enjoyable experience at the Baxter pools, there are a few things that we need to accomplish. Please remember to read the Pool & Swim section that follows (2 pages)! Note: Residents that are delinquent with payment of Association fees or in violation of Association rules will be suspended from amenity use and RSVP Based Community Events. **Please note that new residents and tenants should take either their settlement statement or lease agreement to PostNet to receive a pool pass for the Pool Season.** Pool Parties must be requested and approved by Association Management prior to the date of the event. Additional rules apply and should be followed. Rules are subject to change without notice. Questions? Stay Cool with the Pool Rules 2012 POOL HOURS | MON - SAT 9 AM until 8:30 PM | SUN 11 AM until 8:00 PM Saturdays & Sundays | May 5 & 6 | May 12 & 13 | May 19 & 20 Everyday Monday through Sunday | Sat. May 26 th through Monday, September 3 rd Saturdays & Sundays | Sept 8 & 9 | Sept 15 & 16 | Sept 22 & 23 | Sept 29 & 30 Swim at your Own Risk is NOT Permitted: Prior the 2008 Swim Season, the Use Committee determined that “Swimming At Your Own Risk” will NOT be permitted at the Community Center and Village Hall pools. This decision was based on recommendations from Carolina Pool Management Company, the Association pool contractor, and American Insurance Agency, the Association insurance provider. Pool & Amenity Center Access: To insure our facilities are only being used by our residents and their guests, Photo ID’s are required for all residents 14 years of age and older wishing to use the pools and/or tennis courts. All children under the age of 14 years of age will not be required to have a photo ID since they must be accompanied by an adult (at least 18 years of age & older to use these facilities. Your South Carolina Driver’s License or any other form of photo ID is acceptable provided it includes your current “Baxter” street address or you may contact PostNet located at 1646 West Highway 160, Suite E, Fort Mill, SC 29708 – (803) 548-2831 to make arrangements to have a photo ID made (limit 2 per house hold) at no expense to Baxter residents. You will need to take your photo id with you along with something to link you to your “Baxter” address (phone bill/settlement sheet/etc). Additional/replacement photo ID’s may be purchased for $10.00 each at PostNet. Please Note: Residents that are delinquent with payment of Association fees will be suspended from amenity use and RSVP Community Events. Baxter Guest Passes: Passes are available, with advance request, for residents that cannot accompany their guests to the pools or tennis courts by emailing Kathey Harter, Association Manager, at kharter@comporium.net. More details regarding this on the opposite page. *There is a $50 charge payable to Baxter Community Association for Seasonal Guest Passes for babysitters, nannies and non-family members.* Enforcment & Safety: Anyone caught abusing the pool rules and/or hours is subject to having his or her pool access suspended for a time to be determined by the Association management. We thank you in advance for following the rules and confining your swimming to the available hours. With everyone’s cooperation, we will have another safe and enjoyable swim season. Pool Rules & Regulations for the 2011 Swim Season at both the Community Center & Village Hall Pools 1. The pool area and kiddy pool are for the use and enjoyment of residents, dependents, and guests as provided herein. 2. Swimming is permitted only during the hours contained in this communication / mailing. 3. Use of the swimming pool and kiddy pool and adjacent deck are at user’s own risk at all times. No lifeguard present at kiddy pool any time. 4. State law imposes the following rules with respect to the pool: a. No running, boisterous or rough play Baxter Barracudas Swim Team Schedule b. No persons with communicable diseases are allowed in the pool End of Year Party: July 1 st | time pending 2-5 pm (no resident swim) e. No persons with skin, eye or nasal infections f. No animals or pets g. No glass in pool or pool deck h. No children under the age of 14 years old are allowed in the pool without direct parental supervision (at least 18 years of age). 5. Children that are not potty trained are not permitted in the adult pool unless they are wearing “little swimmers” or a similar type of diaper. 6. The maximum pool depth is six (6) feet. Diving is absolutely prohibited at all times. 7. Smoking and the consumption of alcoholic beverages are not permitted in the pool area or parking lot. 8. Running, ball playing, noisy or hazardous activity or excessive splashing will not be permitted in the pool area. 9. The use of floats, balls, etc. which are inconsiderate, offensive, or which interfere with the peaceful enjoyment and safety of any pool by others, as determined by management, is prohibited. 10. The use of the pool and pool area shall be in a considerate and respectful manner. As such, the volume of radios, recorders and CD players shall be kept at a low level at all times. Management may require headphones as it deems necessary to control the volume or nature of the materials being broadcast that may interfere with the peaceful enjoyment of others. 11. Pool furniture must not be removed from the pool deck. 12. As a matter of courtesy, swimmers and sunbathers should not reserve lounges or chairs. 13. Food and snacks are permitted on the Community Center terrace and pool deck areas. However, no food or drinks are allowed in the pool. 14. All bathers must be appropriately dressed in garments designed specifically as swimwear. No jeans, cut-offs, tank tops, etc. are permitted. 15. Infant children and toddlers are allowed in the adult pool only when accompanied by an adult (also see #5 above). 16. All persons are requested to protect the landscaping and landscaped areas. Activities that could damage or destroy the landscaping are not allowed. Use of the walks and paved areas is required. 17. The use of the pool area when it is closed is strictly prohibited. Any person caught using the pool while it is closed will lose pool access for 30 days for the first offense. Swim at your Own Risk is no longer permitted. 18. Pools require proper and regular maintenance. Therefore, management will close the pool for cleaning and maintenance as necessary. 19. The pool may be closed for other reasons at the discretion of the management, i.e. Swim Team meets, Community Events, etc. 66 Kathey B.
