Brake Actuators
Tie Down Engineering’s brake actuators
represents over five years of product
development and three years of continuous
testing. The unique all aluminum master
cylinder incorporates the shock absorber into
the master cylinder assembly. The oversized master
cylinder design positively provides for quicker stops when
using traditional drum brakes due to the significantly higher
pressures. Even the coupler is manufactured out of heavier gauge
steel when compared to all other 6,600# capacity.

Axle Brake Line Kits
Add disc or drum brakes to your trailer. All hardware included,
you supply the actuator and brakes. The “Add On” Axle Kit must
be used with the Single Axle Kit. The Tandem Axle Kit combines
both Single Axle and “Add On” Kits into one package.
Flexible Brake Line Kit
Rated at 3000 psi. and ideal for disc brake installation
requirements. Connects from brake caliper to female end of
brake line or can be connected to existing steel lines with
adapters included in the kit. Each brake line is 24” long.

Reverse Lock Out Solenoid
If your actuator does not have a
reverse lock out lever or switch, a reverse lockout
solenoid should be installed at the actuator before
installation of disc brakes. Can be used on drum
brakes as well.
