Senthuran
“I found the first year at Ernest Bevin really enjoyable. It is hard
work and there is always lots of work to do but the teachers are
nice and I have been able to try out lots of new things like
basketball and other sports.”
Reece
“It was really exciting but a bit nerve-wracking when I first started
at Ernest Bevin but the other students and prefects in particular
were very helpful. The teachers are more friendly and the facilities
especially for sports are excellent. I have really enjoyed my first
year at Ernest Bevin and really enjoy coming to school.”
Isaac
“I enjoyed coming to Ernest Bevin last year because it felt like a new
beginning. I have met lots of new people and learnt new things. My
favourite lesson is art. I also went on the Osmington Bay trip and
really enjoyed all the activities we took part in there.”
Hashir
“We have great opportunities here: I am learning Latin as an extracurricular
activity and have represented my school at the Spanish
Spelling Bee competitions. I have enjoyed everything from sports to
cooking to maths. We have learnt both discipline and having fun. I am
looking forward to meeting the new Year 7s.”

“I came to Ernest Bevin with lots of friends from my old primary
school. I live nearby and can walk to school. The good bits have been
seeing old friends and meeting new ones. I like studying History
because I find it really interesting to learn about things that have
happened in the past. My favourite period at the moment is the
Romans because they had good tactics when it came to warfare.”

“My favourite lessons are history and geography because you actually
get to do some fun activities and get involved in the lessons. I also love
swimming at Ernest Bevin because the teachers give you lots of chances
to improve and they make it fun. You could join the squad: it makes you
stronger and tougher. The school swimming club has good connections
and you could end up in more than one squad.”
