Second World Wars, are able<br />

to live out their remaining<br />

years in dignity.<br />

<strong>FirstCaribbean</strong> Boost for RISE<br />

Clovis Metcalfe, Managing Director, <strong>FirstCaribbean</strong> <strong>International</strong><br />

<strong>Bank</strong> (<strong>Jamaica</strong>) <strong>Limited</strong>, presents the <strong>Bank</strong>’s cheque for $300,000<br />

to Jan Lopez, Financial Administrator, Reaching Individuals<br />

through Success and Education (RISE) Life Management Services.<br />

The donation, under the <strong>Bank</strong>’s Corporate Social Responsibility<br />

Policy, will be used to upgrade the computer lab at RISE, a nongovernmental<br />

organisation providing drug abuse prevention,<br />

remedial education and health-related services for at-risk youth.<br />

St. Hugh’s Prep Wins 2009 Schools<br />

Environment Programme<br />

Managing Director Clovis Metcalfe presents the top award to<br />

students of St. Hugh’s Prep for their performance in the <strong>Jamaica</strong><br />

Environment Trust’s 2009 Schools’ Environment Programme.<br />

The school was adjudged ‘Most environmentally aware school’<br />

for 2009. Sharing the moment is their teacher Frances Walters-<br />

Tavares (partly hidden). <strong>FirstCaribbean</strong> is the longest serving<br />

sponsor of the Schools’ Environment Programme, having been<br />

with the initiative since inception.<br />

Building Society staff nurtures relationship with the Glenhope nursery<br />

<strong>FirstCaribbean</strong> <strong>International</strong> <strong>Bank</strong> (<strong>Jamaica</strong>) <strong>Limited</strong> presented a cheque<br />

for $120,000 under their Adopt-a-Cause programme, to build a roof for the<br />

recreational area at the Glenhope Nursery. Here, <strong>FirstCaribbean</strong> Building Society<br />
