SECTION 3 – AREAS OF LEARNING Music Children will have opportunities to: • listen and respond to a variety of sounds, rhythms and songs in the outdoor environment; • make music by vocal sounds, body sounds, singing, clapping and playing percussion instruments with extended volume; • make and use instruments to invent music which expresses thoughts and feelings; • participate in simple dances and singing games; • listen to and recognise sounds in the outdoor environment; and • use outdoor features as a stimulus for music. 20
