AUXILIARY HYDRAULIC RAMS<br />
• these rams make a first-class auxiliary tool for boosting the working force of<br />
mechanical pullers applied to particularly stubborn components<br />
• operation: position the ram, with its side pressure screw (b) fully backed off,<br />
between the shaft and the screw (a) and secure by tightening the latter. Initiate<br />
hydraulic action by tightening the side pressure screw (b). If the part fails to come off<br />
with the first stroke of the arm, continue to work the puller screw (a) or proceed as<br />
follows: - back off the side pressure screw (b) - retighten the puller screw (a) and the<br />
side pressure screw (b)<br />
• after use, back off screw (b) to make the built-in restoring spring return the thrust<br />
bolt to its initial position<br />
