Rothenberg CV 02/12 5 B. Curriculum Development 1999-2005 Served as the family-centered, concentration track representative on the MSW curriculum committee. During her service on the curriculum committee, she contributed to the development and implementation of an alumni survey, new course reviews, curriculum development including the development of a program mission statement, program goals and objectives and curriculum revision. Contributed to the review and revision of program syllabi in preparation for the successful re-accreditation of the program in 2003. 2005-present Continue in role as Clinical Concentration track representative through the MSW Program committee. Responsible for the redesign of core courses in both the Foundation and Clinical tracks and is serving the MSW Program Director in the current preparation process for reaccreditation. D. Course Development (sole originator of new courses) First Year Odyssey Program, (Fall 2011) Designed, developed and implemented a onehour Freshman course entitled, Exploring the Mysteries of Communication: Developing self awareness Through Art, Music and Poetry as a way to help entering freshman orient to college life by building a community within the classroom. HONS 1990H (Fall 2005) Designed, developed and implemented an undergraduate Honors college course entitled, Mysteries of Communication: Developing self awareness Through Art, Music and Poetry SOWK 7353 (Summer, 2005, 2007, 2010) Peacekeeping, Conflict Resolution & Reconciliation: An International Service-learning Course. Designed, developed and continues to implement an international course in Northern Ireland. Course available to both undergraduate and graduate students from both levels of the curriculum and geared to social work. The course had a strong international service-learning component and is the only course university-wide offered in Northern Ireland as well as the only course at UGA focused on peace and conflict resolution. Codesigned and co-facilitated intensive international service-learning course with an interdisciplinary group of graduate and undergraduate students and faculty under the auspices of the Gertrude Mongella-UGA Initiative. S0WK 7347/7337) Social Work with Burn-Injured Children: A Service-learning course Developed and taught Social Work with Burn-injured Children from 2000-2007, an innovative, service-learning course offered as a concentration level elective in both the Family-centered and Community Empowerment tracks of the MSW curriculum.
