Can Someone Interpret <strong>for</strong> Me when I Talk with<br />

My/My Child’s Doctor?<br />

At anytime during your child’s health care experience, if you need help with special language<br />

services including interpreters, please call <strong>Member</strong> Services toll-free at 1-888-814-2352 <strong>for</strong><br />

in<strong>for</strong>mation. Please remember that if you need an interpreter, please let us know you need these<br />

services at least 72 hours be<strong>for</strong>e your child’s appointment, or as soon as possible.<br />

Se Habla Español - <strong>Parkl<strong>and</strong></strong> <strong>KIDSfirst</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Parkl<strong>and</strong></strong> <strong>CHIP</strong> Perinate Newborn has people to<br />

help who speak both English <strong>and</strong> Spanish. We also have member h<strong>and</strong>outs in both English <strong>and</strong><br />

Spanish.<br />

Language Line – We provide a language line if your primary language is not English or Spanish.<br />

We will find someone who speaks your language. For help, please call <strong>Member</strong> Services toll-free<br />

at 1-888-814-2352.<br />

Sign Language – We can provide sign language interpretation <strong>for</strong> doctor visits. Please let us<br />

What if I/My Daughter Needs OB/GYN Care?<br />

Attention Female <strong>Member</strong>s -<br />

You have the right to select an OB/GYN <strong>for</strong> yourself/your daughter without a referral from your/<br />

your daughter’s PCP. The access to health care services of an OB/GYN includes:<br />

• one well-woman check-up per year<br />

• care related to pregnancy<br />

• care <strong>for</strong> any female medical condition<br />

• referral to special doctor (specialist) within the network<br />

<strong>Parkl<strong>and</strong></strong> <strong>KIDSfirst</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Parkl<strong>and</strong></strong> <strong>CHIP</strong> Perinate Newborn has limited your selection of<br />

OB/GYN <strong>for</strong> you/ your daughter to the same network as your/ your daughter’s PCP. You can call<br />

<strong>Member</strong> Services toll-free at 1-888-814-2352 <strong>for</strong> help in finding an OB/GYN.<br />
