Medical de<strong>to</strong>x center, acupuncture, groups, possibility of referral for after care. Must be at Hooper<br />
no later than 7:45 am for check-in. Sliding fee scale. Out of state patients pay $722 up front. This<br />
program intervenes in the process of chemical dependency by providing outreach, sobering and<br />
sub-acute medical de<strong>to</strong>xification. Services provided are the CHIERS outreach van which picks up<br />
inebriated people off Portland’s streets and transports them <strong>to</strong> Hooper De<strong>to</strong>x. The Sobering Station<br />
offers individuals a safe, medically moni<strong>to</strong>red place <strong>to</strong> sober up. From the Sobering Station individuals<br />
can enter the 54 bed sub-acute medical de<strong>to</strong>x program. During the eight <strong>to</strong> ten day stay they receive<br />
medical treatment for early withdrawal symp<strong>to</strong>ms, counseling, and referral <strong>to</strong> other programs. NOTE:<br />

facility remains a 20 NE MLK Blvd..<br />
