D. Professor with AGP of Rs. 10000 from Associate Professor with AGP of Rs. 9000<br />

i. Associate Professor with three years of completed service <strong>in</strong> the AGP of Rs. 9,000.<br />

ii. M<strong>in</strong>imum po<strong>in</strong>ts <strong>in</strong> the Per<strong>for</strong>mance Appraisal Scor<strong>in</strong>g System(PASS) developed on the basis of Academic<br />

Per<strong>for</strong>mance Indicators (API) and Weightage po<strong>in</strong>ts (WP) as given <strong>in</strong> Appendix I and II.<br />

iii. Published at least five papers <strong>in</strong> referred National / International Journal dur<strong>in</strong>g assessment period hav<strong>in</strong>g<br />

impact factor of four or more.<br />

iv. Supervised at least four PG thesis and one PhD thesis dur<strong>in</strong>g the assessment period (if available <strong>in</strong> the<br />

department).<br />

v. Additionally, attended two Curriculum Development Boards/Policy Plann<strong>in</strong>g Committees/Professional<br />

Development Programmes/Teach<strong>in</strong>g-Learn<strong>in</strong>g-Evaluation Technology Programmes dur<strong>in</strong>g the assessment<br />

period.<br />

vi. Been duly <strong>for</strong>warded by the HoD and Dean of the School on prescribed Appraisal Form (Appendix –III)<br />

submitted by the aspirant.<br />

vii. Been evaluated and recommended by the Screen<strong>in</strong>g Committee.<br />

viii. Selected through a Selection Committee. The Selection Committee shall constitute of the follow<strong>in</strong>g members:<br />

1. The Vice Chancellor to be the Chairperson of the Selection Committee.<br />

2. Three experts <strong>in</strong> the concerned subject out of the panel of names approved by the Vice Chancellor<br />

3. Dean of the concerned Faculty<br />

4. Dean of the concerned School<br />

5. Head/Chairperson of the Department<br />

6. An academician nom<strong>in</strong>ated by the Vice Chancellor<br />

At least four members, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g two outside subject experts shall constitute the quorum.<br />

ix. Been recommended by the Selection Committee and then approved by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor /<br />

Executive Council of SHIATS, respectively, <strong>for</strong> <strong>promotion</strong>.<br />

E. Professor with AGP of Rs. 12000 from AGP of Rs.10000<br />

i. Professor with 10 years of completed service.<br />

ii. M<strong>in</strong>imum po<strong>in</strong>ts <strong>in</strong> the Per<strong>for</strong>mance Appraisal Scor<strong>in</strong>g System (PASS) developed on the basis of Academic<br />

Per<strong>for</strong>mance Indicators (API) and Weightage po<strong>in</strong>ts (WP) as given <strong>in</strong> Appendix I & II.<br />

iii. Been duly <strong>for</strong>warded by the HoD, Dean of the School and Dean of the Faculty on prescribed Appraisal Form<br />

(Appendix –III) submitted by the aspirant.<br />

iv. Been evaluated and recommended by the Peer Committee.<br />

v. Been recommended by the Peer Committee and then approved by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor / Executive<br />

Council of SHIATS, respectively, <strong>for</strong> <strong>promotion</strong>.<br />

F. The Executive Council, upon the recommendation of the Selection Committee / Screen<strong>in</strong>g Committee may relax any of the<br />

qualifications <strong>for</strong> promot<strong>in</strong>g Teachers, <strong>under</strong> the CAS, <strong>in</strong> the University.<br />

II. FACULTY IMPROVEMENT SCHEME<br />

A. VISION & MISSION OF THE SCHEME<br />

Human Resource Development <strong>in</strong> Agriculture, Technology & Sciences rema<strong>in</strong> as one of the most important sector which has to be<br />

dynamic so as to cater to the needs of the grow<strong>in</strong>g population of the country. The vision of the University is to develop and nurture a<br />

technical <strong>edu</strong>cation system which produces skilled manpower of the highest quality, comparable to the very best <strong>in</strong> the world and <strong>in</strong><br />

adequate numbers to meet the complex technological needs of the economy; and would provide the nation a comparative advantage <strong>in</strong><br />

the creation and propagation of <strong>in</strong>novative technological solutions and <strong>in</strong> the development of a technological capacity of the highest<br />

order, both <strong>for</strong> its application <strong>in</strong> the economic development of the country and <strong>for</strong> becom<strong>in</strong>g a major supplier of technology and<br />

technological services <strong>in</strong> the world.<br />

B. AIMS & OBJECTIVE<br />

i.) To produce skilled manpower <strong>in</strong> the field of Agriculture, Technology & Sciences.<br />

ii.) To ensure the highest quality output to be comparable to the very best <strong>in</strong> the world.<br />

iii.) To develop <strong>in</strong>novative technologies.<br />

iv.) Creation of <strong>in</strong>terdiscipl<strong>in</strong>ary research programme and facilities <strong>in</strong> Agriculture, Technology and Sciences.<br />

v.) Creation of R & D and Consultancy culture.<br />

vi.) Establishment of centre of excellence <strong>in</strong> the field of Agriculture, Technology and Sciences.<br />
