CHAIRMAN’S REPORT
Chairman Mahoney presented the Administrator’s evaluation. Everyone felt that
Administrator Hammersley has done an excellent job. Mrs. Hammersley stated that it has
been her pleasure to serve the Board.
2012-143 ADOPT ADMINISTRATOR’S EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT AND
AUTHORIZE BOARD CHAIR TO SIGN
The Chairman recommends, moved by Snider, seconded by Wilkins, that the
Administrator’s employment contract be adopted and that the Chairman be
authorized to sign same.
Discussion follows. Several Commissioners commended Mrs. Hammersley
for a job very well done.

Chairman Mahoney stated that he has spoken with Mr. Olsen of Northern Machine and has
scheduled a tour of the company on Thursday, April 5, 2012 at 1:30 p.m.
Chairman Mahoney reminded everyone that April is County Government Month. The
theme is Healthy Counties/Healthy Families.
COMMITTEE LIAISON REPORTS
Commissioner Wilkins updated everyone that the Federal Needs Emergency Funds has
extended its date for requests for funds through March 31, 2012. She also stated that a
new kids program, in conjunction with the MSU Extension in Kent County, will soon be
starting.
Commissioner Wilkins stated that she will show a clip later of a featured person of the week
which was on FOX 17. This person is from Holton.
Commissioner Engle stated that staff will be including the Road Commissioners agenda in
the commissioner e-mails.
