CSA is recognized as the best-designed sailboat harbor in North America. Regional, National and International regattas are held each year. CSA is the only sailboat harbor that brings people to Carlyle Lake for sailboat racing. The facilities include: ‣ paved parking for 300 sailboats (90% utilized) ‣ paved parking for 200 cars ‣ Harbormaster house ‣ Pavilion – 60 ft. by 40 ft. ‣ Observation building with kitchen suitable for seating about 100 people ‣ Storage building 100 ft. by 50 ft. for misc. sailing equipment ‣ 1 pontoon boat for race management ‣ 3 Boston whalers for safety, race management and training programs Activities include: ‣ 26 weeks of operation including two club races each Sunday ‣ One week of junior sailing camp, open to all kids ages 10 – 16. They need not be CSA members. ‣ Visitor’s Day. This is open to the public and includes free food and drinks and sailboat rides. ‣ A Learn to Sail program. This is open to the public. ‣ 12 to 15 regattas in addition to the club activities. Governor’s Run Golf Course Located on the lake one half mile north of the city of Carlyle on Rte 127, the facility consists of a 7,013 yard championship course, and 18 hole lighted par 3 course, practice facilities, Pro Shop, restaurant and banquet facilities.
