AN ACT<br />
To enact R.S. 33:1236(21)(e) and (30)(d), relative to the authority of<br />
the St. Martin Parish governing authority to regulate nuisances;<br />
to authorize the parish governing authority to regulate and<br />
provide for the removal of grass, weeds, trash, noxious matter,<br />
and the like, and of junk, wrecked or used automobiles, and other<br />
discarded items, in unincorporated areas in subdivisions or in<br />
clearly established residential areas on state highways or parish<br />
roads; to provide procedures, including charging the property<br />
owners for costs; to provide for enforcement, including<br />
provisions for charges to operate as a lien on the property; to<br />
provide for the ranking of such liens; and to provide for related<br />
matters.<br />
