All equipment furnished shall be guaranteed to be new and of current manufacture; meet all requirements of
this specification; and be in proper operating condition at the time of delivery. All parts shall be of high quality
workmanship and construction. No part or attachment shall be substituted or applied contrary to the
manufacturer's recommendations and standard practices.
Bidders shall include with the Bid Proposal: literature, photographs or similar documents which describe or
depict the manufacturer's type and model proposed; a complete set of the manufacturer's specifications which
detail materials use as well as construction techniques for the exact ambulance proposed; and one (1) set of
drawings for the exact ambulance proposed. These drawings shall consist at a minimum of: four (4) exterior
views; front, rear, curbside and streetside and four (4) interior views; front, rear, curbside and streetside,
showing the location of all requested features attached thereto. Omission or incomplete documentation shall
be grounds for total rejection of the bid. Labeled drawings with lists of equipment are not considered as a
substitute for the detailed manufacturer’s specifications; they must be provided in addition to the specification.
NOTE: The drawings submitted by the Bidder must show the design, layout, and features specified in this
document. Submitting a manufacturer's "generic" or "standard feature" drawings, or photocopies of the
reference drawings provided with this document, is NOT acceptable.
Since these specifications describe an emergency vehicle that may be used under adverse conditions, the
Purchaser seeks to reduce its future liability exposure. Therefore, all bidders responding to these
specifications shall submit a proper and verifiable Certificate of Insurance. This shall certify that the
Manufacturer of the bid vehicle has in force Product Liability insurance in the minimum amount of ten million
dollars ($10,000,000.00). This insurance shall have been issued by a Company rated "A+" as reported in the
current edition of Best's Key Rating Guide, published by Alfred M. Best Company, Inc. Bidders failing to submit
proof of the above requirement cannot be accepted and their Bid Proposal will be rejected.
All Bidders must have any and all current licenses required by state law to do business in the state in which the
Purchaser resides, and shall be registered with the Secretary of State of the State of Idaho. Copies of Motor
Vehicle Seller’s license held from any U.S state shall be provided as well.
Prior unfavorable experiences of the Purchaser or documented significant unfavorable experiences of other
agencies, with any vendor or represented product submitting a bid may be in and of itself grounds for rejection
of the bid.
Because of the expense of this purchase, at the discretion of the Purchaser any bidder must provide a like
ambulance for the purchaser’s inspection, at the bidder’s expense, at the Purchaser’s facility within 10
calendar days of the bid opening. Failure to provide this provision is grounds for rejection of the bid.
Demonstrator ambulances meeting this specification will be considered. It shall be the sole judgment of the
Purchaser whether a demonstrator which is proposed would or would not be in the best interest of the bidder.
