Class of 1935
We have reconnected with MARGERY
MILLER MILLS, who has moved from PA to
an assisted living facility in CT & celebrated
her 91st birthday. Due to a tired heart, she
uses a motorized scooter to go any distance,
but otherwise walks freely. She enjoys participating
in activities & keeps in touch via
email with old friends in PA & elsewhere.
She enjoys living within 45 minutes driving
distance of her daughters Kay & Bobbi and
her son Rober who lives in Syracuse NY.
Margery is the one who got in touch with her
classmates & prepared these notes. ELLEN
COLVIN PARKER now uses a walker &
although she has some vision is considered
legally blind. She enjoys listening to audio
books & to news on TV. She’s a member of
a Sat morning walking group, attends bible
study & enjoys other activities in the village
where she lives. She has 3 children, John
in Arlington VA, Tom in OR & a daughter
in MN. ROBERT BOYLES is in an apt in
Assisted Living at The Oaks, next door to a
beautiful park where he enjoys taking walks.
When I called, he had just returned from a
family reunion at Lake Lure SC, where he
saw almost all of his children. MARGARET
TAYLOR COURTWRIGHT still lives in
her own home. She enjoys gardening & is
a member of a garden club. She still drives,
is active in church work & volunteers at the
hospital doing sewing, craft work, etc. She
uses the computer to stay in touch with her
son in CA & with friends. Her daughter lives
in MD. Bravo! KITTU PARKER RIDDLE
is happy & healthy but doesn’t remember
much these days. She enjoys walking their
dog short distances with the help of crutches.

She is still involved in their Disciple Church
and her 3 children visit her regularly. She &
Margo send their best wishes to all. DRES-
SEL NISSER’s son reports that he is settled
in New Delhi & is well. He is still active
& enjoying his retirement years with wife

Michelle & grandchildren Jessica, Kevin &

ALICE WRIGHT CONKEY is now living at
an assisted living facility in Hanover, NH &
has settled in well. She has just welcomed her
8th great-grandchild, a girl, Marin Conkey.
Class of 1937
MARY BRANCH DAILEY is a resident at
Copeland Oaks retirement community &
is handicapped by macular degeneration,
coronary problems & diabetes, plus what the
doctor calls an essential tremor, which makes
it hard to write & to read. I have a good friend
who has volunteered to type this letter for
me. MARY’s closing message: Remember,
I am not an invalid. I am up & going about
the everyday necessities of life, thanking
God for all of my blessings here at Copeland
Oaks. DAVID WILSON’s home in NJ was
caught by the recent heavy rains; his driveway
was washed out twice, and the basement
flooded, with loss of electricity during the
rains from Hurricane Irene. His children
helped him celebrate his 91st birthday last
summer. He has some health challenges but
is holding his own. ARTHUR WISER recalls
the longtime association with 3 WS graduates.

(dec.) & MERRILL MOW ’45, have been
members of a Christian
Church Int’l Community,
formerly known as a Bruderhof.
They joined this
unique community shortly
after WW II, during which
they had maintained their
strong pacifist convictions.
We live like the
early Christians. (See Acts
2:44-46: common property;
non-violence; prayer;
forgiveness; no divorce
& remarriage in our communities.)
Regarding the
relationship of the 3 WS
friends, he adds: my son,
