When using BST 14i2 for dimming applications (DALI/1-10 V), the following must be observed:
The given voltage is not Safety Extra Low Voltage (SELV) but Functional Extra Low Voltage (FELV).
Thus, when laying supply and signal cables together, the installation material must comply with the highest occurring
supply voltage in order to ensure safe separation of the circuits.
BST 14i2 pastel blue is suitable for this application when the following is observed according to the
general installation guidelines:
– fixed installation (e.g. suspended ceilings)
– all components are plugged
– unused connectors have to be closed with covers
(female: 05.563.7753.0, male: 05.563.7853.0)
– installation in areas only accessible for authorized personnel
– BST 14 cables with blue and black connectors made by WIELAND are designed for mains voltage
– no “TouchDIM“ application
