Attention Parents and Friends
Each Monday 9:00—9:30am you are invited to join
a prayer group held at “The Shed” Wesleyan
Methodist Church.
Praying for our children, each other’s children,
teachers, other staff and for the College.
(Small children welcome)
Chewing gum is NOT permitted
on the College grounds.
WASTE MANAGEMENT AT RIVERSIDE
Riverside students are asked to put their rubbish in
different bins in order for the College to better
manage our waste. 3 bins are available in eating
areas ‐ yellow top recycle bins (like the ones at home),
red top bins for garbage that can't be reused or
recycled, and small green top bins for food waste that
can be composted. Our aim is to decrease our
'landfill' rubbish by 1/3, simply by recycling and
composting.
Please encourage your child/ren to put their
rubbish in the correct bins.
This year we have students and staff who suffer from
allergies and they must be very careful not to come into
contact with certain foods. Therefore we request that where
possible, the following foods: Eggs, Peanuts and Seafood
be avoided at the College.
We value the well-being of each one in
our Riverside community, let’s make the
College a safe place for all.

Homework and Assignment Assistance
After School
Supervised by Mrs Downes and Mrs Slater on Tuesday
and Wednesday afternoons from 3 to 4 pm.
On Tuesday the venue is E‐Zone.
On Wednesday the venue is G Block (Mrs Slater’s
classroom).
This activity is open to students from Years 6 to 12
who want to use the time to work independently on
homework or assignments, and students who would
like some teacher assistance with their work. Please
support us by checking with your child/children
whether they have work to do and if they don't, make
the usual arrangements for them to go home at 3pm.
Disability Parking
We do have parents that
require the disability car
parking provided at Riverside. Please
be kind and reserve the designated
parks for them, thank you.
In the interest of safety, please park your car to drop off
your children, do not pull up on the main thoroughfare
and let them out.

Annual Middle/Senior Academic Awards will be held
at the Brolga Theatre on Wednesday evening
31 October. Students and parents, please be aware
that this event requires your compulsory attendance.
If STUDENTS ARE UNABLE to attend please supply a
letter explaining their absence.
ACCOUNTS OVERDUE
Please note that if you have not paid your Term 3
Account, it is now overdue.
(Unless you have made a payment plan with Janita or Jenny.)
Don’t forget, if you are paying your fees off, they must
be paid in full no later than Thursday 6 December.
Student Enrolment at Riverside Christian College is
subject to all fees being paid up to date.
If you are suffering financial difficulties, please contact
Janita to discuss how we can assist.
EXCURSION & UNIFORM PAYMENTS
Payments for Excursions and for Uniforms cannot be taken
from Fees Account Credit. I do understand that sometimes
parents have credit in their fees account, however our
banking accounts for Excursions and Uniforms are
different to our Fees Accounts. We are unable to transfer
money from one account to another.
Please note that students cannot attend excursions unless
full payment is made by the due date given on their
excursion letter.
