2012 was the year of Community for Boardwalk. We focused our efforts
on building and maintaining strong local and global communities. Part
of delivering value and making Boardwalk the best place to live, is our
commitment to our surrounding communities. Boardwalk continues to
commit to building better communities.

Boardwalk offers a Company Matched Payroll Charitable Deduction program. Associates
who wish to take part in this program will select the charity they wish to donate to from
our list of registered charities. Their donation is automatically deducted from their pay
each month, and Boardwalk will match their donations up to $1,000 per Associate, per
year. In 2012 Boardwalk was proud to match $28,000 of Associate contributions.
To encourage Associates and Customers to get involved in their communities and
volunteer, Boardwalk introduced a new program; Boardwalk Angels. This program acts
as an umbrella under which all of Boardwalk’s charitable events fall. Throughout 2012
we took part in many events and invited Customers and Associates to participate. These
events included numerous Feed the Hungry events across Canada where Associates and
Customers served lunch to local individuals in need and Boardwalk provided the meal.
Buildings who have been involved with Boardwalk Angel events will receive a plaque to
proudly display in their Leasing Offices.
