She would have to be told about his indiscretion in Bangkok, she would have to be seen by a doctor too, and she would almost certainly require the same treatment. If she did not present to a doctor for treatment, she could become sterile and seriously ill, and he would catch the gonorrhoea back from her the next time they had sex. There was no alternative, both partners must receive adequate treatment. In an attempt to help him I said that hopefully she would forgive him this one indiscretion.
