All three low-residency programs recognize the critical value of professional
exposure and require a field practicum, internship or international studio residency.
The programs emphasize critical thinking, innovation and the synthesis of theory
and practice equipping candidates with skills sought by employers in today’s creative
economy.
Candidates work closely with professionally active faculty artists, educators and
designers and work independently with professionals in the field. Each program hosts an
annual symposium featuring guest speakers of national and international significance,
focusing on contemporary issues in art, education and design.
The programs’ non-traditional, summer intensive, evening and weekend year-round
scheduling is well suited for working adults seeking to advance their current studio,
design or teaching practices or transition into new careers in art and design fields.

Moore Names New Graduate Program Director and Managers
Elaine Crivelli, Director,
Graduate Studies
Moore College of Art & Design welcomes
Elaine Crivelli as Director of Graduate
Studies. Crivelli is a professional artist and
art educator with extensive teaching, administrative
and curatorial experience. She
received her MFA from the University of
Delaware in sculpture.
Mark Karlen, PhD, has been appointed
Interior Design Graduate Program Manager.
Moore’s Paul Hubbard, chair, professor, fine
arts has been named Studio Art Graduate
Program Manager and Lynne Horoschak,
chair, professor, art education, has been
named Art Education Graduate Program
Manager.
