Although email is still a powerful presence in the media lives of most social media users,<br />
its role in keeping in touch with family and friends is diminishing. For now, the effect is<br />
limited, with only 25% of the total sample agreeing with the above statement. However,<br />
when social media use is included in the equation, that number rises to approximately<br />
40%.<br />
