Entry Requirements<br />
Applicants must meet the following entry requirements:<br />
• Have successfully completed the MIT Certificate in<br />
Motorsport (Level 2)<br />
or<br />
• Have successfully completed the MIT Certificate in<br />
Automotive Electrical (Level 2)<br />
or<br />
• Have successfully completed the National Certificate<br />
in Motor Industry (Entry Skills) (Level 2) with strands<br />
in Automotive Electrical and Mechanical and Collision<br />
Repair or equivalent<br />
or<br />
• Have successfully completed the MIT Certificate in<br />
Automotive <strong>Technology</strong> (Level 2)<br />
or<br />
• Have relevant industry experience. Applicants will be<br />
required to present a portfolio <strong>of</strong> evidence<br />
Note: This portfolio <strong>of</strong> evidence will be evaluated prior to<br />
student interview and<br />
• Be physically capable <strong>of</strong> completing the practical<br />
aspects <strong>of</strong> the programme and<br />
• Have English language competence to undertake this<br />
programme, which is taught and assessed in English.<br />
Any applicant whose first language is not English may<br />
be required to provide evidence <strong>of</strong> an IELTS (Academic)<br />
band score <strong>of</strong> 5.5 (with no band below 5.0) or equivalent<br />
and<br />
• Be able to demonstrate the appropriate skills,<br />
motivation, attitudes and attributes required to work<br />
in the motorsport environment. These attributes<br />
will be assessed through an interview process. The<br />
interview will also provide an opportunity to discuss<br />
the programme philosophy, clarify the applicant's career<br />
path expectations to ensure their choice <strong>of</strong> programme<br />
is correct.<br />
All applicants will be interviewed.<br />
Students who have attained the age <strong>of</strong> 20 years and do not<br />
hold the minimum entry requirements for a programme will<br />
be eligible to be enrolled as a student where their previous<br />
educational, work or life experience indicates they have a<br />
reasonable likelihood <strong>of</strong> success. Students who have not<br />
attained the age <strong>of</strong> 20 years and do not hold the required<br />
minimum entry requirements for a programme may also<br />
be eligible to enrol in exceptional circumstances. Such<br />
decisions will be made by the Faculty Dean.<br />
